Country Music Association Awards

I just found a great little write up about the announcement of the Country Music Association Awards — check it out at Cybergrass. Looks like among the nominees is Alison Krauss for four awards! Vocal Group of the Year, Female Vocalist, and two for Musical Event of the Year. Way to go for her!

Also, Vince Gill, Jerry Douglas, Martina McBride and many more are up for awards as well.

I can’t wait to see the awards on November 7th!

    I am very surprised at the nominations this year. I can’t believe Tim McGraw was not nominated for ANYTHING!!! I believe he should have been nominated for entertainer of the year and male vocalist of the year. It seems like year after year some very major contributors to the popularity of country music are ignored, such as Tim and Toby Keith. Who, exactly, decides on the nominations? What are the criteria?
